About Dr. Dion
 Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, Dr. Michael Dion graduated with honors from Boston College in 1982, majoring in Biology and Philosophy. He then went on to graduate from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1986, followed by a residency St. Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady, N.Y. He opened his practice in Derry in 1988.
Earning his F.A.G.D. (Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry) in 1993, Dr. Dion is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Hampshire Dental Society, the American Association of Hospital Dentists, and the Medical Reserve Corps in Derry. He has also worked as a consulting dentist for local TV station WMUR (Channel 9). He and his wife, Sally, have three children.
Dr. Dion’s practice also includes using sedation dentistry to work with special needs and high-risk children. He is on staff at the Catholic Medical Center and the Elliot Hospital, both in Manchester, and also volunteers at the Poisson Dental Facility and the Alexander-Eastman Foundation.
Dr. Dion is currently a research associate at NYU College of Dentistry and BU School of Dental Medicine. He received a master’s degree in clinical research from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute and is currently investigating the problem of dry mouth in elder populations. Recently Dr. Dion presented the protocol" Perspectives of Dentists on Oral Cancer Screening Methods- a Comparison to Evidence-based Literature" in Washington, DC. He is also part of the Pearl Network. The Pearl Network is a practice-based research group of over 100 dental practices in the northeast that conducts dental clinical research trials sponsored by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. About Our Team
Ellen, RDH: Ellen has been a dental hygienist since 1994, when she graduated from the New Hampshire Technical Institute with honors. She also received the faculty award for dental excellence. Ellen likes the diversity of seeing children and adults throughout her day. She enjoys helping to make her patients feel great about their smiles and to learn how to take wonderful care of their oral health. She is also a spinning instructor at a local health club. |

Sally, BFA, RDH: Sally is originally from Portland, Maine. She is a graduate of the New Hampshire Technical Institute. Recently she received her certificate to administer local anesthesia from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. While at NHTI she was awarded the Colgate citation for clinical excellence. She really enjoys talking with her patients and "getting to know them and their families". Sally is also an artist with printmaking as her medium. She has 3 children and has lived in Derry for 20 years. |
Bridget, Dental Assistant: Bridget has been with our office since sprint 2007. Her dental assisting experience was in a Boston pediatric group. She graduated from the dental assisting program at the National Education Center in Brookline, MA in 1990 and received her radiology certification from TUFTS University in 1992. Bridget recently completed a sealant program at NHTI in Concord, NH. She and her husband spend most of their free time attending sporting events supporting their three boys. |

Dawn, Dental Assistant: Dawn joined our team in December 2007. She brings a background in endodontics, having assisted in a specialist's office for 10 years. Dawn received her radiology certification from NHTI in 1998. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and attending her daughter's AAU basketball games. |
Kathleen, RDH: Kathleen has been a hygienist for more than 20 years and has worked with our team since fall 2006. She graduated from NHTI in Concord, NH in 1987 and hails from Southern NH. Currently, Kathleen lives in the Chester area. She loves the diversity of general dentistry, seeing children as well as adults, to improve their oral health. Kathleen likes to spend her free time with her husband and two children or volunteering at church. |

Anne-Marie, Front Desk Coordinator: Anne-Marie is the first person to greet everyone. She has been in the dental field for ten years and recently joined our office staff. She had been a Derry resident for more than twenty-five years. Anne-Marie enjoys volunteering with her husband, Rick at their local church. Now that her three daughters are grown, she is planning more travel adventures. |
